Our Lady’s message is a serious call to a
life of prayer which enables us to be converted and to make our families more
prayerful. Our Lady has invited us in many messages to prayer of the heart and
to a life of prayer. Through prayer we obtain the gifts of joy and peace,
as she told us on 25th August 1989:
- Dear Children, today I call you to prayer. By
means of prayer, little children, you will obtain joy and peace. Through prayer
you are richer in the mercy of God. Therefore, little children, let prayer be
the light for each one of you. Especially, I call you to pray so that all those
who are far from God may be converted. Then our hearts shall be richer because
God will rule in the hearts of all men. Therefore, little children, pray, pray,
pray. Let prayer begin to rule in the whole world. Thank you for having
responded to my call.
Our Lady is teaching us to pray with the
heart in order to experience our union with God, since we are God’s children
through our baptism. She talked about this aspect of prayer on 25th October
1989:
- Dear Children, today also I am inviting you
to prayer. I am always inviting you, but you are still far away. Therefore,
from today, decide seriously to dedicate time to God. I am with you and I wish
to teach you to pray with the heart. In prayer with the heart, you shall
encounter God. Therefore, dear children, pray, pray, pray. Thank you for having
responded to my call.
As God’s children we must live this prayer of
the heart in order to achieve holiness of life which is our Christian vocation,
as Our Lady told us on 25th September 1990:
- Dear Children, I invite you to pray with the
heart in order that your prayer may be a conversation with God. I desire that
each of you dedicate more time to God. Satan is strong and wants to destroy and
deceive you in many ways. Therefore, dear children, pray every day that your
life will be good for yourself and all those in need. I am with you and I am
protecting you even though Satan wishes to destroy my plan and to hinder the
desires which the Heavenly Father wants to realize here. Thank you for having
responded to my call.
The call to holiness of life is God’s own
call to us all, as we read in the Book of Leviticus (11:44): You shall
be holy, for I am holy.

Lady gave us a beautiful message of the life of prayer through Mirjana on 2nd April
2013, (see Mirjana messages page) in which she also asked us to pray for priests.
